Tiger Airways blasts Singapore’s decision allowing AdamAir flights
DPA reports Tiger Airways’ CE Tony Davis on Tuesday criticised Singapore’s decision to allow Indonesia’s AdamAir to fly to Singapore. According to Davis, the decision of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) to accept AdamAir as a regular airline and not treat it as a budget carrier was “flawed”. AdamAir should have been barred in the same way that low-cost rival Awair was blocked, said Davis. The CAAS has refused to grant routes to Indonesian budget airlines after Indonesia slapped a ban on Singapore-based low-cost carriers in March.
