Budget silly season arrives

ChannelNewsAsia reports that the silly season fares have all hit the press this Monday, with JetStar Asia, Valuair and Tiger Airways all offering new routes and new fares. The S$1 fare has returned — for Tiger Airways flights to Darwin, though as usual there are qualifiers: the fare is only for flights out of Singapore; only for online purchases; and only for tickets bought between December 12 and 16 for travel between December 19 and 30. Plus, once you work in taxes, a return fare is around S$350! Other announcements include Jetstar Asia flying five times a week to Bangalore and Valuair flying three times a week to Bali — all with S$99 promo fares Merry Xmas indeed!
