AirAsia targets Laos and Burma
Bernama reports some promising news that AirAsia plans to expand its services to Laos and Burma as soon as it gets approval from the two govts, according to group CEO Tony Fernandes. “We want to get the rights first before expanding our services to Laos and Burma. We are seeking approvals from these two govt,” he told reporters in Jakarta on Monday. Fernandes said that the airline was already in talks with Laos but has yet to start discussing with Myanmar on the matter. Knowing full well the glacial pace at which the above-mentioned govts move, AsiaNewsDesk wouldn’t suggest holding your breath, but at least they’re talking about it.
