Still no international LCCs into Indonesia

Dow Jones reports that Indonesia will continue to ban foreign low cost carriers from landing at its four main airports of Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan and Denpasar. The ban was imposed in early 2005 to Garuda Indonesia from competition and emains in force. Valuair (now a part of Jetstar Asia) is the only one allowed to fly in as it was already flying to Jakarta before the decision was made.
