Tiger Airways becomes a “free-fare” airline
AFP reports that Tiger Airways will become a no-fare carrier to seven destinations to mark its move to a new budget terminal next month. Beginning tomorrow it is taking bookings for free seats between Singapore and Krabi, Hat Yai and Phuket in Thailand; Padang on the Indonesian island of Sumatra; Vietnam’s capital Hanoi as well as Danang; and Darwin in Australia. Booking continues over the weekend until Monday at the airline’s website. You need to buy your “free” ticket between 10 and 13 February, for travel between 26 March and 30 April 2006.
