Cambodia smacks Bangkok Airways
The Nation reports that the regions most popular abusive monopoly — Bangkok Airways — got told off by Cambodia’s Commerce Minister Cham Prasidh yesterday over its outrageous airfare from Bangkok to Siem Reap. Currently running at Bt9,350 to Bt9,730 for a round trip, excluding fuel surcharge and taxes, the gouge of an airfare goes back to an agreement signed in 1997 between the airline and the Cambodian Govt. The agreement doesn’t lapse till 2009.
