Seaplane connections from Phuket
The Nation reports that Destination Air Shuttle will inaugurate its seaplane shuttle service from Phuket to Ko Phi Phi, Krabi and Ko Lanta in February 2007. The service would commence with 12 flights per day and add more to the Similan and Racha islands as well as Khao Lak.Travel time will be 13 minutes from Phuket International Airport to Ko Phi Phi, 20 minutes to Krabi and 30 minutes to Ko Lanta. Transfer time will be minimised by landing directly at the beachfront resorts. No word on rates so far — but if you thought the racket from jet-skis was bad, wait till this starts up…
