Jetstar Asia to start making money

The Herald Sun reports that Jetstar Asia is expecting to make a profit ahead of its previous 2009 forecast. Monday, Jetstar Asia’s executive officer, Chong Phit Lian, said the business was “very much on track to break even by 2009″. “In fact, we expect it to be earlier,” Chong said. The turnaround, fuelled by a 10% rise in passenger loads to 70%, is good news for Qantas.
