Vietnam Airlines expands, creates leasing Co
Canadian Press reports that Vietnam plans to buy 12 Boeing 787s. Vietnam Airlines will purchase four of the planes and a new joint stock company called Vietnam Aircraft Leasing Co. will purchase eight, company officials announced at a press conference Friday. Vietnam Airlines and Boeing declined to disclose the price of their deal. VALC issued a release earlier in the day saying it would pay US$1.42b for its eight planes.
