The Nation reports that Bangkok Airways is adding a number of new routes including Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City (starting March 2), Bangkok to Pakse (starting April 10), Chiang Mai to Siem Reap and Phuket to Siem Reap (both starting in April). For more information, see the Bangkok Airways website.

eTTR Daily reports that the Ko Samui Tourism Promotion Association has threatened to close Samui’s airport if Bangkok Airways doesn’t bring its airfares back to earth and reign in its monopolistic behaviour. On Deceber 2, 2005, Bangkok Airways will be expanding to Hiroshima, Japan. The link between Bangkok and Hiroshima will be scheduled thrice weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and be flown on Bangkok Airways new Airbus 320.
